  • Content on the website (text, images, logos, layout) is owned by or licensed to Craig McLean Flooring or our providers (including Cascade Digital) and is protected by copyright and other rights. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
  • Information on the website is provided in good faith but may not always be up to date. We may change or remove content at any time without notice.

4. Services and areas covered

We provide:

  • Carpet supply and fitting
  • Vinyl and LVT flooring
  • Laminate flooring
  • Artificial grass supply and fitting

Our primary areas include Penrith, Carlisle, Keswick, Appleby, Brampton, Kirkby Stephen and neighbouring locations. We may agree to work outside these areas at our discretion.

5. Quotations and orders

  • All quotations are provided free of charge and are usually based on measurements taken by us or supplied by you.
  • Quotations will set out the products, services, price and any relevant conditions. Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for 30 days.
  • An order is confirmed when you accept our quotation (in writing, by email or verbally) and, where applicable, pay any required deposit.
  • We reserve the right to refuse any order, for example if the product is unavailable or if we consider the work unsuitable or unsafe.

6. Pricing and payment

  • Prices will be clearly stated in your quotation and include VAT where applicable.
  • We will advise you of any deposit required before ordering materials.
  • The balance is usually payable on completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payment methods accepted will be confirmed in your quotation or invoice (e.g. bank transfer, card, cash).
  • If payment is not made on time, we may charge interest or take reasonable steps to recover the amount owed.

7. Materials and products

  • We supply flooring products from trusted manufacturers. Specific styles, colours and products are subject to availability.
  • Colour and pattern may vary slightly from samples due to manufacturing tolerances and batch differences. We are not responsible for minor variations that are considered normal in the industry.
  • You are responsible for checking that the chosen product is suitable for the intended room and usage, based on our guidance and manufacturer recommendations.

8. Measurements, access and preparation

  • Accurate measurements are essential for a good fit. We will take measurements where possible, but if you provide measurements, you are responsible for their accuracy.
  • You must ensure we have reasonable access to the property at agreed times and that rooms are suitably prepared (for example, furniture moved where required, old flooring removed if not included in our quotation).
  • Any delays or additional work caused by lack of access, incorrect information or inadequate preparation may result in additional charges.

9. Fitting and installation

  • We will carry out fitting with reasonable care and skill, in line with industry standards for carpet and flooring installation.
  • During fitting, some minor disruption, noise and dust is unavoidable. We will take reasonable care but cannot accept responsibility for existing damage or defects in subfloors or structures.
  • If we discover issues (e.g. damp, uneven subfloor, structural problems), we will inform you. Additional remedial work may be required, which may incur extra cost and could delay completion.

10. Completion, inspection and issues

  • On completion, we will invite you to inspect the work. Any concerns should be raised within a reasonable timeframe, ideally within 7 days.
  • If there is a genuine defect in our workmanship or materials, we will arrange repair or replacement in line with your statutory rights and any manufacturer warranties.
  • You should follow any care and maintenance advice provided to prolong the life of your flooring.

11. Cancellations and changes

  • You may cancel or change your order before we have ordered materials or begun work, subject to agreeing any reasonable costs already incurred.
  • Once materials have been ordered specifically for you, cancellation may result in charges to cover those costs, especially for bespoke or non-stock items.
  • If you need to change agreed dates, please give us as much notice as possible. We will do our best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.

Your statutory rights as a consumer (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015) are not affected.

12. Liability

  • We will not be liable for any loss or damage that is not reasonably foreseeable or that is not caused by our negligence or breach of contract.
  • We are not responsible for business losses, loss of profit or indirect or consequential loss.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Reviews and testimonials

  • We are proud of our reviews (e.g. 5.0 rating from 69+ reviews). When you provide feedback, you consent to us using it (with your first name and general location) on our website and marketing materials, unless you tell us otherwise.
  • We may share genuine customer reviews on platforms such as Google or social media.

14. Third-party services and links

  • Our website may link to third-party websites and services (for example, social media pages or review platforms). We are not responsible for their content or services.
  • Any services provided by third parties will be subject to their own terms and conditions.
